Check your inbox to see if you have an appointment to pick up a number plate.

ORANJESTAD— The Tax Department (DIMP) appeals to all individuals and businesses who have an appointment to pick up a number plate to check their email.

Verify whether the individual who scheduled your appointment got the email. Since DIMP might have sent the email to them, you, the license plate owner, did not receive a notification.

This does not apply to pensioners.

Appointment confirmation

DIMP’s appointment system immediately generates a confirmation email after you make an appointment. It indicates that something went wrong if you did not receive an email. Maybe you typed the email address wrong or failed to click the submit button when creating the appointment.

Reminder

You will receive three reminder emails before the appointment. These emails also contain all the essential information for the appointment.

The date may change.

It is possible that DIMP reschedules the appointment to a later date or that the person postpones the date, for example, due to a stay abroad. If DIMP reschedules an appointment, the system immediately sends an email to communicate the new date.

Documents not in order

The DIMP administration will email you about any mistakes or inadequacies if they review the paperwork and find, for instance, that the insurance has expired or that the payment is inaccurate.

Missed appointment

DIMP has found that some people do not pick up their number plates because they did not check their email or did not check it on time, leading to a missed appointment. In such cases, DIMP will assist in finding a solution as quickly as possible. It cannot guarantee that the customer will receive their number plate on the same day they contact the Tax Department.

DIMP’s team is working hard to ensure everyone receives their number plates. DIMP communicates with its customers via email to facilitate this process. Therefore, check your inbox regularly.
