Winners of Carnival 71 plots will start receiving calls.

ORANJESTAD – On January 24, the draw for Carnival 71 plots took place.

Notary Mrs. Hilde Rodriguez-Taekema and staff oversaw and carried out the draw, guaranteeing openness and legal conformity.

This year, a total of 217 plots are being allocated, with 81 located on Vondellaan and 136 on L.G. Smith Boulevard. Additionally, vendor plots are available in different districts: 6 in Noord, 7 in Oranjestad, and 11 in San Nicolas.

During the drawing process, the notary verifies the validity of each application, checking whether it has the required stamp, is fully and correctly completed and signed, and has been submitted in the correct box.

Any incomplete or incorrect applications are deemed invalid. If they draw a person’s application more than once, only the first one counts, as no individual can receive more than one plot.

Notification of Winners

The notary gave the official report with the list of winners to DIP. DIP will start calling the winners from January 29 onwards. DIP requests applicants to remain available by phone.

Documents and Payment

Once a winner receives a call from the DIP, they must submit a copy of a valid ID and personal identification number in person at DIP or via email at carnaval@dip.aw. If all documents are in order, the person will receive an invoice for the corresponding payment.

Permit for Plot Usage

After the payment is completed, the DIP will contact the individual to schedule an appointment to collect their permit.

If a winner is no longer interested in the assigned plot, they should return it to the DIP. In this case, DIP will give the plot to the next person on the waiting list. Please note: selling a permit is strictly prohibited and punishable by law.
