Validity of lists of candidates
ORANJESTAD - The Polling Station Headquarters informs that there will be two public sessions, open to all voters, about the validity of the candidate lists.
The process began on November 1, 2024, when the Polling Station Headquarters met in a restricted session to review the list of candidates submitted on October 18, 2024, to ensure that the list of candidates complied with the Electoral Ordinance.
All political parties were notified via email on November 4, 2024, of the necessary corrections to be made to their lists and have until November 7, 2024, to make the necessary corrections.
This will be followed by the first public meeting of the Polling Station Headquarters to officially announce the validity of the list of candidates on November 8, 2024, at 10:00 AM.
If, within two days, no appeal is filed against this decision, the Polling Station Headquarters will proceed to number the lists by drawing lots and assign colors (also by drawing lots if necessary) in a public meeting on November 13, 2024, at 10:00 AM.
In case of a court appeal about the validity of the list of candidates, the session of numbering and color assignment will occur no later than November 21, 2024.
The Polling Station Headquarters invites all voters and interested parties to take note of the public hearings, which will take place on the above-mentioned date at the Civil Registry Office, and to keep up to date with the virtual link of the live stream that will be published on our social networks.
