Trade Mission of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the United States

ORANJESTAD - The United States is the most significant non-European partner for the Kingdom of the Netherlands in economic and security matters.

This strong relationship is essential for the prosperity of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and for us as a Caribbean island that heavily depends on the North American economy.

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima will visit the American states of Georgia and New York from Monday, June 10 to Thursday, June 13. They will stop by Atlanta and Savannah in Georgia, and Albany and New York City in New York.

Parallel to the working visit of the Royal Couple, a delegation of CEOs from VNO-NCW will take part in the trip, and there will be a trade mission from the RIVM. During the visit to Georgia, Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, Harbers will accompany the Royal Couple in New York by Minister of Infrastructure and Water Management, Schreinemacher. Minister Geoffrey Wever of Economic Affairs, Communication, and Sustainable Development and Minister Cijntje of Economic Development of Curaçao will also be part of this visit.

This visit underscores the strong bilateral relationship between the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the United States and the significant economic ties with the states of Georgia and New York. Georgia is currently the ninth-largest American trading partner of the Netherlands and is developing rapidly. New York is just as important to the Netherlands as California and Texas in trade and investment interests.
