The Prime Minister visited several primary schools in connection with Betico's Day.

ORANJESTAD - Every year, a week before the celebration of Betico's Day, Prime Minister Evelyn Wever-Croes visits several primary schools where she has the opportunity to give lectures on the life, struggle, and achievements of Aruba's Libertador Betico Croes.

On the first day, Monday, January 20, the Prime Minister visited and gave a lecture at grade 5 of Reina Beatrix School, Maria Goretti College, and at grade 6 of Cacique Macuarima. She had the opportunity to talk and give her lecture to students. The Prime Minister expressed that these students already knew a lot about Betico's life but asked some questions, which the Prime Minister answered.

The Prime Minister expressed that the visits fill her with pride because she realizes how much the children who are our future generation know about the life of Betico, and this helps a lot in keeping his legacy alive. These children need to grow up knowing that each has something of Betico in them and that if they have the determination, they can achieve great things for Aruba.

The Prime Minister thanked the principals, teachers, and students. The teachers did a good job in educating the students of grade 5 on the history of Betico Croes and all that he meant for Aruba. We would also like to invite each of them and the students to the cultural event that will take place on Friday, January 24, at 7:30 pm, at Plaza Betico Croes, which is a beautiful expression of singing, dancing, and poetry. There will also be several stalls of food and crafts typical of Aruba. Let's raise the flag and demonstrate with pride that we feel this country has known a great person like Betico Croes," the Prime Minister expressed.
