The government recognizes Fitch Ratings for their 25 years of work for Aruba’s financial well-being.
ORANJESTAD – Fitch Ratings, with whom the Government of Aruba has collaborated for 25 years, paid a visit to Xiomara Maduro, Minister of Finance and Culture, at the start of February.
To commemorate this anniversary, the Minister of Finance presented Fitch’s executives with a piece of Bolo Preto, a traditional Aruban black fruit cake for celebrating important occasions.
In the presence of the Department of Finance team, she thanked Fitch Ratings for its 25 years of work for Aruba's well-being.
The government also thanked them for their support over the past seven years, which was crucial for Aruba’s financial stability. This period included the difficult times of the pandemic and a significant recovery phase in public finance.
The Finance Minister concluded the meeting by expressing confidence that Aruba will be able to get an investment-grade rating with Fitch Ratings, as it has done several times over the previous 25 years.
