The Consul of Colombia visits the Minister of Culture

ORANJESTAD - Minister of Finance and Culture Xiomara Maduro recently received a visit from the Consul of Colombia in Aruba, Mr. Gustavo Serrano Amaya, and the Assistant to the Diplomatic Mission, Mrs. Pilar Rojas. 

The visit was part of a cultural exchange initiative that the Embassy of Colombia in the Netherlands wishes to establish with Aruba and Curaçao.

For Aruba, the aim is to create a cultural exchange with Tumaco, a city in the Pacific region of Colombia. The exchange will consist of three activities: a dance exchange between young people from Tumaco and Aruba, a talk on sustainable tourism, and a culinary workshop to introduce young people to the culinary arts of Tumaco. The intention is for this cultural exchange to take place at the end of October.

The cultural exchange between Aruba and Colombia will help strengthen the bonds of brotherhood between the two countries and between Colombia and the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
