SVB officially received authorization to increase the compensation premium for pensioners by 250 florins.

ORANJESTAD – On Tuesday, April 2, Minister of Finance, Economy, and Primary Sector, Mr. Geoffrey Wever, Prime Minister Mr. Mike Eman, Minister of Kingdom Relations, Education, Youth, Innovation and Sport, Mrs. Gerlien Croes, Minister of Public Health, Social Affairs and Elderly Care and Addiction Care, drs. Mervin Wyatt-Ras, and Minister of Tourism, Transport, and Labor,  Mr. Wendrick Cicilia, officially delivered the Council of Ministers' decision to the Social Security Bank SVB. 

This decision authorizes the SVB to increase the compensation premium for all pensioners by 250 florins per month, starting May 1, 2025. SVB Director, Ir. Edwin Jacobs confirmed that SVb will implement this measure accordingly. 

The compensation premium increase brings significant and timely relief to pensioners. Minister Wever expressed his gratitude to all his colleagues who made extraordinary efforts to implement the necessary budgetary changes, which served as the foundation for this crucial step.
