ORANJESTAD - The Department of Education Aruba (DEA), section Study Facilities, reminds all students who applied for an Arubalening of some requirements.

Local bank account

When a student receives an Arubalening, it is transferred to a local bank account in the student's name. The account can also be in the name of an adult, but it must primarily be in the student's name. If the students  will study abroad, they must inform the bank to make it a "Non-Resident Student Account." Students can do this when opening their account. Once the bank account is ready, the student must upload proof of this in their Arubalening Portal. It must show the bank name, the student name, and the account number.

To open a student account, some banks require proof that the student will receive an Arubalening. This proof can only be requested via WhatsApp from Arubalening at +297 594 4140. When requesting this statement, the students must include their full name and date of birth.

The preparations before leaving abroad are numerous, but if they start on time, everything can be ready on time.
