Scientific Research Quality of Life of the Aruban Youth a Reality.
ORANJESTAD – The outgoing Minister of Justice and Social Affairs, Rocco Tjon, recently met with the multidisciplinary team of experts from the Instituto Pedagogico Arubano and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
These experts held a survey among the youth focusing on school environment, neighborhood, home situation, and physical and mental well-being.
They also consulted parents, school administrators, teachers, and social workers from every district to broaden the scope of the study. The Council of Ministers will soon receive the poll results, which include specific recommendations.
The government allocated more funding for the social sector r in the 2025 budget, and the aim is that this will continue to implement the specific proposals.
