Reminder preventive frisking Carnival 71

ORANJESTAD - The Public Prosecution Service (OM) and the Aruba Police Force (KPA) inform that the police will also be conducting preventive frisking for the possession of firearms this coming weekend:

  1. On February 22, 2025, to February 23, 2025, from 8:00 PM to 3:30 AM, during the Lighting Parade (Oranjestad):
  2. On February 23, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 6:30 PM, during the Children's Carnival (San Nicolas):

The police have been authorized by the examining magistrate, at the request of the Public Prosecution Service (OM), to stop people and search their clothing. In addition, to demand to open bags and packages and to search cars, motorcycles, and other means of transport for illegal possession of firearms.
