Qredits Aruba Celebrates Its 8th Anniversary

ORANJESTAD—Qredits Aruba was established in 2017 and over the past eight years, it financed more than 500 local businesses, resulting in 19 million florins investment in the Aruban economy.

Over the last eight years, Qredits Aruba has helped more than 3,000 aspiring and existing local entrepreneurs through microfinancing, educational programs, personalized coaching, and training via the "BeYourOwnBoss" program, "Small Business Academy," and various coaching and mentoring initiatives.

Last year Qredits Aruba introduced several new projects and products, such as the Qreative Business Academy, which focuses on the creative sector, and the Energy Loan, which promotes sustainability in local businesses.

The Agri Fund project continued, with 10 commercial farmers receiving Agriloans to start or expand their businesses. Furthermore, 60 farmers have participated in the Agri-Business Academy to develop their business plans.

The contribution of Qredits Aruba to the development of the Aruban business sector has been significant, reflecting an impressive socio-economic impact over the past eight years. Qredits Aruba's entrepreneurs created more than 1,000 jobs. 78% of these businesses are still active five years after their establishment. 31% of Qredits Aruba's entrepreneurs are startups, while 64% of them would not have been able to start their businesses without the support of Qredits Aruba.

Qredits Aruba thanks all entrepreneurs, coaches, and partners for their trust and collaboration over the past eight years.
