Police giving back to the community: five families receive Christmas light visit
ORANJESTAD—Eight years ago, a group of police officers raised the project "Christmas Light" to give back to our community and to the families that need it most.
On December 23, 2024, the year opened with positive news for five families. Oranjestad district police, Motor Unit, and Slachtofferhulp (Victims support), together with some friends like Dixie Bakery and Donuts and Kimjen Construction, joined for a good cause: to make a family happy this Christmas.
Five families received an unexpected visit from friends, Police, who came loaded with items such as food so they, too, could have a Merry Christmas despite the difficult situation.
Every year, they choose a different family for them too to have a Merry Christmas and open a new year with hope.
