Pick up five license plates!

ORANJESTAD - The Tax Department issues license plates only by appointment. Each individual can collect a maximum of 5 license plates per appointment. 

You can pick up your plates and those for family or friends. If you are collecting plates for someone else, you do not need an authorization letter is required. If you have more than five vehicles, you can book additional appointments.
Companies can collect a maximum of 25 license plates per appointment. If they have more vehicles, they can book additional appointments. Companies can collect plates for themselves and/or their employees.
Pensioners who need to collect license plates must also book an appointment. Tax Department staff are available to assist pensioners with making an appointment by phone or in person at the DIMP office in Camacuri.

Appointment Confirmation

Immediately after booking an appointment, you will receive an email confirming your appointment. It is crucial to enter your email address correctly. Check also your spam folder for the confirmation email.

Make Changes

DIMP encourages everyone with an appointment to pick up a maximum of 5 license plates per appointment and companies to collect 25 license plates per appointment for themselves and/or their employees. It helps reduce waiting times for plate distribution.
To add more plates to your appointment, open the confirmation email you received, click "Change/Cancel Appointment," and then click "Edit forms." In the form, adjust the number of vehicles and add more plates to your name. Ensure you complete all details. Then click "Update forms" at the bottom to submit the changes.

Note: You can not make changes within 4 days before the day of the appointment. If collecting plates for someone else, please list the plate numbers and bring the list to the appointment to streamline the process.
If the appointment is under your name, you are the only person authorized to collect the plates. Ensure the name matches your passport, driver's license, or ID card. If you cannot collect the plates, reply to the confirmation email and request a name change. Provide the name, phone number, and email of the person who will collect the plates on your behalf. Your appointment will remain valid but will be registered under another name.

Note: It is NOT possible to send someone else to collect your plates without making a name change beforehand.

Upload Required Documents

For each license plate, you must upload the insurance policy. DIMP does not accept payment schedules, payment invoices, or expired policies. If you do not renew your insurance, DIMP will not issue the plates on the day of the appointment.
Additionally, you must upload proof of vehicle tax payment. If you paid online, please upload the bank receipt. You do not need the DIMP receipt beforehand to book the appointment. On the day of the appointment, DIMP will issue your payment receipt.
