Opportunities for Aruban businesses to explore international markets are closer than you think.
ORANJESTAD – On Monday evening, with a fully packed hall, the event "Discover RVO Opportunities for Aruba" took place.
The Department of Economic Affairs, Trade, and Industry (DEACI), through its Exprodesk unit, organized this business event in collaboration with the Representation of the Netherlands in Aruba (VNO) to provide valuable information about the support that the Dutch organization Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (RVO) offers to entrepreneurs within the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
The event featured Ms. Soelan Daal, International Business Advisor at RVO, who provided insights into the various assistance types that RVO can offer to Aruban entrepreneurs who export or aspire to export. RVO provides, among other things, subsidies, vouchers for attending trade missions, product development, and even strategic support that can facilitate exports. Following the presentation, they held a networking reception, where attendees could connect and exchange ideas with experts and colleagues from the Department of Economic Affairs.
According to the Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs, Geoffrey Wever, Aruba must continue to seek ways to expand its export and innovation opportunities. "We are at a key moment in building strategic relationships with partners from the Netherlands and the region. The tools that RVO offers can be practical solutions to help our local entrepreneurs enter international markets."
The Ministry of Finance, Economic Affairs, and Primary Sector encourages all entrepreneurs to explore the available opportunities and not to limit themselves due to a lack of information. The RVO presentation is available through Exprodesk and will soon be accessible online.
Minister of Finance, Economic Affairs and Primary Sector, Geoffrey Wever thanks Ms. Soelan Daal for her presentation, Mr. Vincent Storimans, Deputy Representative of the Netherlands in Aruba (VNO), an important partner of the Aruban government, and Ms. Maria Dijkhof-Pita, Ms. Sharon Meijer, and Mr. Giacomo Pais from the Department of Economic Affairs for organizing this event.
