Horacio Oduber Hospital (HOH) operates this second location of the general practitioner's office. It is the second one opening this year. The doctors’ office in Piedra Plat will reinforce primary care and accessibility to the patients requiring care and increase the capacity to provide care to more patients.

This special occasion is a step forward in the Ministry of Public Health’s, objective to improve medical care quality on our island. In 2023, the ministry signed an agreement for medical care, of which the most important topic was the reinforcement of primary medical care.

The Ministry of Public Health’s objective is to continuously invest in care and research how to improve the quality of care and service in Aruba and to ensure that the AZV fund remains sustainable. The ministry focuses on preventive care awareness. Therefore, the new general practitioner office in Piedra Plat will house three general practitioners. This doctor's office will provide a more accessible, effective, and efficient service to our insured.
