National Security Service Aruba organizes a course on detecting fraudulent documents.

ORANJESTAD - Recently, the National Security Service Aruba (VDA), in collaboration with the Canadian Border Control Services Agency (CBSA), held a training on official document recognition and the latest techniques for producing counterfeit documents for various local security experts.

It is of utmost importance that our professionals are well-prepared on this topic to detect counterfeit documents effectively. The world and technology are becoming more advanced, making people increasingly creative. Aruba is in recovery, which is positive, but it also attracts potentially adverse influences that may attempt to enter using fake documents. Therefore, at every step forward, authorities must ensure they are well-prepared to keep Aruba a secure island.

Prime Minister Evelyn Wever-Croes is pleased that VDA and CBSA provided this course and with the participation of the large group of local professionals who took part in this updated training to be able to detect falsified passports, identity cards, or other types of documents necessary for entry into a country.
