Leerorkest 5 Schools Concert attracts 550 children for concert

ORANJESTAD – On Friday, June 28, Prime Minister Evelyn Wever-Croes attended a beautiful concert featuring 550 school children.

The Leerorkest 5 Schools Concert was the largest to date and took place at the Gloria Theatre, where a packed house enjoyed a concert by children from five primary schools. The participating schools were Graf von Zinzendorf Basisschool, Prinses Amalia Basisschool, Colegio Laura Wernet Paskel, Aruba Adventist Academy, and St. Paulus Basisschool.

Music is a determining factor in the development and growth of a child. Children who learn to play an instrument from a young age develop more self-confidence. This confidence helps them face other tasks, challenges, and activities and achieve their goals.

The Prime Minister is proud that the government was able to finance Leerorkest, given the essential role it plays in the development of the children. Instilling a love for music in children highlights their talents and confidence, which will help them in the future and also benefit us as a country. Furthermore, she congratulated all the children who participated in the Leerorkest 5 Schools Concert for their excellent performance.
