Invitation for online presentation on Logistics between Suriname and Aruba

ORANJESTAD - Following the recent successful trade mission to Suriname, the Minister of Economic Affairs, Communication, and Sustainable Development Geoffrey Wever, along with VSH United, Port Operator in Suriname, will give an online presentation on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 9:00 AM for all local merchants interested in importing products from Suriname.

Mr. Kushal Rambharos and Mr. Miguelito van Leeuwaarde from VSH United Suriname will elaborate on the logistical aspects and the connection between Suriname and Aruba. It is a follow-up to the recent visit to the Port of Suriname, aimed at our entrepreneurs who wish to import products from Suriname to Aruba.

During the recent mission to Suriname, the Aruban delegation held discussions with two logistics companies and visited the port, where representatives of VSH Holding provided extensive explanations about the loading (consolidated and non-consolidated), unloading, and clearing containers process in Suriname.

At the Port of Suriname meeting, all stakeholders involved in importing products from Suriname agreed to hold this presentation to provide better guidance and assistance to entrepreneurs. Suriname offers various business opportunities, and this additional knowledge facilitates the process, empowering local merchants to make the best use of the opportunities Suriname offers.

Minister Wever wants to thank the Department of Economic Affairs, Commerce and Industry (DEACI) and VSH United for making this possible and invites all interested merchants to attend the online presentation and register.
