Governor receives first copy of literary work titled “Di Carigueña pa Santa Clara.”
ORANJESTAD - On Thursday morning, January 23, author Jossy Tromp presented the first copy of his latest literary work titled “Di Carigueña pa Santa Clara” to Governor Boekhoudt.
The work of fiction “From Carigueña to Santa Clara” is Jossy Tromp's debut novel written in Papiamento.
Author Jossy Tromp was born in Aruba in 1954. His island served as the inspiration for a number of his plays, poems, and short tales.
“From Carigueña to Santa Clara” is a fictional story that explores the virtues and vices of everyday life in Carigueña and Santa Clara. The main characters are two brothers who, as teenagers, watched a movie about a people living under a totalitarian regime.
