Coast Guard Aruba will open 20 job positions.
ORANJESTAD – On October 2, 2024, Prime Minister Evelyn Wever-Croes met with the Director of the Coast Guard, Mr. Hansen, to discuss several topics of interest.
The Coast Guard of Aruba, part of the Kingdom’s Coast Guard and the Dutch Defense, helps secure Aruba’s borders by patrolling its territorial waters.
During the meeting, Mr. Hansen informed the Prime Minister that they are transitioning the Coast Guard to ensure 24/7 availability, providing continuous control over Aruba’s territorial waters. Due to this transition, 20 job positions will open at Coast Guard Aruba, offering an opportunity for young people in Aruba who are interested in a career with the Coast Guard.
Director Hansen handed over all transition documents to the Government of Aruba, which will review them and give the necessary approval and ratification of the agreements.
