Clarette Quandus presents her work ‘Tradicion di fin di aña’

ORANJESTAD – Clarette Quandus will exhibit her piece "Tradicion di fin di aña" (New Year's Eve Tradition) in the Oranjestad library on Thursday, March 13th at 5:30 PM. 

"Tradicion di fin di aña" is a publication about the history of San Juan and Dande in Savaneta and traces the ancestors of the late Mr. Eloy and the late Mr. Mario Koolman. The book also includes the stories of Anna Maria Noguera, Shon Pipi Koolman, and Yendi Koolman. There is also a special dedication to the late Eloy and Mario and the family members who have continued the tradition.

Clarette sought advice and editorial review from Mirto Lacle and historian Dufi Kock To create a comprehensive publication. Dufi Kock also contributed several relevant portraits. Rubia Bernabela and Joyce Pereira worked on the Papiamento language modification and correction. Interprint N.V. handled the printing, while Venny Trinidad designed the cover.

Clarette Quandus is well-established in the literary world and has published several works. In 2023, she published "Amor y fe"; in 2011, "Kibrando e silencio"; in 2019, "Elegante poeta"; and in 1998, "Mi Aruba, mi prohimo, mi inspiracion". Clarette Quandus also participated multiple times in Poeta di Patria.

The presentation "Tradition di fin di aña," which will take place at the National Library in Oranjestad on Thursday, March 13, at 5:30 PM, is open to the whole community.
