Announcement date candidacy
According to Article 16 paragraph 4 of the Electoral Ordinance, the Chairman of the Electoral Council announces that political parties registered with the Electoral Council may submit their lists for the June 25, 2021 elections.
Submission of candidate lists
- By e-mail. Time: Between 09:00 and 16:00 hours at any time
- In person. Political parties must make an appointment between 09:00 and 16:00 to submit the lists personally. The authorized representative of the political party and a candidate on the list can be present at the submission.

Below are the forms that must be submitted on the day of the nomination of candidates ("submission of lists of political parties"). You can download the forms, fill them out and send them in on the day of the nomination of candidates:
- De kandidatenlijst;
- De verklaring van bewilliging in de kandidaatstelling;
- De verklaring betreffende ontvangst van de waarborgsom bij de Directie Financiën;
- De schriftelijke opgave van kleur.
These forms must be sent by email on October 18, 2024 between 09:00 and 16:00: secretaris@er.aw.
Below you will find the schedule for submitting candidate lists on October 18, 2024:
The candidate list, pursuant to Article 19 in conjunction with Article 20 of the Elections Ordinance (KV), must also be accompanied by the following
- The written declaration of each candidate appearing on it, that he/she consents to his/her nomination on the candidate list in the order submitted;
- Proof of deposit with the Department of Finance of an amount of Afl. 1,000;
- A black and white passport size photograph of four by six centimetres (4×6 cm) giving a clear and good likeness of the highest placed candidate on the list;
- The parties may, if they wish, enclose the written declaration of color form with the submission, in case the ballots are printed in color.
Requirements:
- A list may contain, among other things, a maximum of 29 candidates: 8 more than the total number of State members to be elected;
- Political parties without representation in Parliament must collect a total of 586 signatures of voters (= at least one percent (1%) of the sum of valid votes, which were determined by the Electoral Council at the last held election, rounded up to a whole number) before the 2021 elections in order to participate in the elections;
- A candidate may appear on no more than one list of candidates;
- A voter may only support one list of candidates.

On November 1 the Main Polling Station will hold a meeting to examine the lists. Until November 4 2024, the Main Polling Station can notify a party in writing of any omissions it has found, such as missing documents. The party has until November 7, 2024 to rectify the omission, as indicated in the notification, by supplementing the missing or incomplete documents itself at the Main Polling Station. On November 8, the Electoral Council will decide on the validity of the candidate lists.
Support for candidate lists:
In accordance with Art. 17 paragraph 2 of the Electoral Ordinance (KV), the political parties without representation in Parliament must collect 587 signatures of voters, in order to participate in the elections, which is equal to at least one percent (1%) of the last vote count. The support of the candidate lists takes place during 7 consecutive days (excluding weekends) from 09:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. after the submission of the candidate lists.

11 political parties registered with the Electoral Council have submitted a list of candidates to participate in the 2024 elections. In addition to the parties Accion 21, AVP, MAS, MEP, RAIZ that are now represented in Parliament, the parties CURPA, FUTURO, HTC, LpR, PPA and RED will also participate in the elections of December 6, 2024.

Decision on Validity of Candidate Lists
On November 8, 2024, the Electoral Council will decide on the validity of the candidate lists in a public meeting. Pursuant to Article 31 of the Electoral Ordinance, the Electoral Council shall publish these lists of candidates.
Numbering of lists and color assignment
If no appeal has been lodged, the Electoral Council proceeds to number the lists and assign the color. Finally, the valid candidate lists with their number and color will be made public.
On November 13, 2024, in a public session, the Electoral Council assigned the following numbers by lot and assigned the preferred color to the respective candidate list:
