Baki den Bario on November 30, 2024, at Marlboro Ballpark in Dakota
ORANJESTAD - Saturday, November 30, 2024, Baki den Bario continues at Dakota in Marlboro Ballpark from 7 am to 11 am.
Every month, the Baki den Bario activity is held in different districts. Together with more partners, it provides the community with a waste separation park to dispose of various types of waste.
Baki den Bario is an initiative of the national campaign 'Limpi Limpi' to raise awareness of the importance of proper waste processing. Waste separation helps make the recycling process more efficient and reduces pollution of our environment.
The Bureau City Inspector will help inform on the type of waste accepted, educate on the correct way to take it to the waste containers, and ensure that the event runs orderly. The Serlimar helpdesk will also be there during all of Baki den Bario to help its customers.
It is essential to reduce the amount of waste that we as an island produce, and one way to achieve this is to reuse as much as possible. Fundacion Pa Nos Comunidad will also be present and accept items in good condition that can find a new owner. Accepted items include furniture, clothing, and toys. FPNC will collect food products to make food baskets and help disadvantaged families for Christmas. For more information, visit their Facebook page or www.fpnc.aw, or personally donate to them during Baki den Bario.
Please note that asbestos is not accepted. Be aware that for more people to continue throwing trash in the bins, the truck must be able to cover the bin with the net when it is in use. It will allow the crew to change it to an empty one. Do not fill containers that cannot be covered with nets to improve the rotation's flow. As a result, you have to wait even longer to dispose of waste in the containers.
