75 International and local couples renewed their wedding vows during ‘Aruba I Do 2024’
ORANJESTAD - August 2024 marks a significant development for the iconic event Aruba I Do.
After five successful editions on Eagle Beach, this event has redefined itself as the most memorable vow renewal in the Caribbean. This new transition, in line with the High Value – Low Impact strategy, ensures that the island’s ecosystem is protected and serves as an example of adhering to new regulations for events on the beaches of Aruba.
This year, the event moved from Eagle Beach to a more historic location, namely the Historical Museum Fort Zoutman, in honor of the 200th anniversary of Oranjestad. This museum offered an intimate and memorable atmosphere for the 75 local and international couples who participated this year. In a romantic setting full of nostalgia, the couples had the opportunity to relive the most significant moment in their married lives.
‘Aruba I Do’ has grown into one of the most anticipated events for couples from around the world, including local couples. In 2023, the event attracted 350 couples, positioning it as the largest vow renewal in the Caribbean.
This year, the event was on a smaller scale and more memorable, providing 75 couples from different countries the opportunity to renew their marriage vows. It included couples from the United States, Canada, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Aruba. Among the couples were also some LGBTQ+ couples, reflecting the diversity and inclusion of the ‘Aruba I Do’ community.
