Workshop illustrating children's books
ORAJESTAD - Children's book writer and illustrator Mrs. Mylo Freeman facilitates a workshop at the library.
The workshop is for people interested in illustrating children's books or local illustrators interested in illustrating baby books and/or making children's books. Mylo Freeman talks about her work experiences as an illustrator. She presents her drawings and assigns homework for the audience to complete. The participants are encouraged to develop stories and visual material that reflect the cultural diversity of the Caribbean region and that appeal to children.
The goal is to inspire creative professionals so that the rich traditions and languages of the Caribbean become more visible in children's books and other literary works.
The workshop is scheduled for Thursday, February 13, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the library. You can register with Gina # 528 1504 or curso@bna.aw
