The University of Aruba celebrates the 15th anniversary of the Faculty of Organization Governance Management (OGM).

ORANJESTAD - On February 18, the celebration of the 15th anniversary of the faculty of Organization Governance Management (OGM) of the University of Aruba took place.

The Innovative Future of Governance in Aruba conference was the occasion for this celebration. Prime Minister Evelyin Wever-Croes gave a speech highlighting the significance of this faculty for Aruba on this particular occasion. 

GMO's 15 years is testimony to the critical role that education, research, and innovation play in shaping the future of a government and society. Over the past 15 years, the OGM program has trained leaders, legislators, and visionaries who contributed significantly to Aruba's management development.

The Prime Minister indicated during her speech that governance in the 21st century is not only a matter of administration but of adaptation, inclusion, and digital transformation. The world is evolving rapidly, driven by technology, globalization, and social change, and Aruba must continue to innovate to ensure effective governance.

The transformations are happening in different areas. Among other things, the area of digital and intelligent governance, such as the E-Government program. Simplifies services and makes government more accessible. In addition, the future of governance will be collaborative, transforming citizen engagement and collaboration. A government that listens, participates, and creates solutions together with the citizens is a government that will prosper. Another essential transformation is cyber security because digitalization means that cyber security becomes critical.
