The Dismissal Committee is in recess.
ORANJESTAD - The Department of Labor and Research (DAO)'s director seeks advice from an independent committee consisting of employer and employee representatives in dismissal applications submitted by employers seeking permission from the DAO's director to terminate the employment relationship with one or more employees.
The Dismissal Committee is based on Article 3 of the National Ordinance on the Termination of Employment Contracts, AB 1989 GT 14.
The DAO's Director informs its clients that the Dismissal Committee will be in recess from December 18, 2024, to January 08, 2025. They will process the pending applications according to the standard procedure. If the "adversarial rounds", that precede the advice and decision rounds, are completed after December 17, 2024, you must consider any delay in processing the dismissal applications.
In this case, the relevant documents will be presented to the Dismissal Committee for advice for the first time in January 2024.
