"She Means Business": A series of free workshops organized and presented by DEACI.
ORANJESTAD - The outgoing Minister of Economic Affairs, Communications, and Sustainable Development, Geoffrey Wever, and the Department of Economic Affairs, Commerce, and Industry (DAECI) announced on February 26, 2025, the series of workshops: "She Means Business: Women Empowerment Month."
There will be different workshops, presentations, and networking sessions in March. The topics are improving artificial intelligence (AI) use, developing a strategic and sustainable plan, and cultivating the proper business attitude. All this is to empower and equip all participants with the right tools to create practical strategies. This project enables women entrepreneurs who want to start a business or have an established business but want to know more about the latest technological trends.
There will be 10 workshops; the first will be on March 10. Even though March is Women's Month, anyone who wants to start a business or is already operating one is welcome to attend these sessions.
"One of our main focuses as the Ministry of Economic Affairs is to empower our citizens and entrepreneurs with the knowledge and information necessary for them to progress and experience success in business. Through this course, we hope to provide our residents who aspire to learn more about business management with the most up-to-date technological expertise to increase the efficiency and sustainability of their enterprises," Minister Wever stated.
There is no cost involved in participating in all workshops. So don't miss this opportunity, and register by emailing Mrs. Sharon Meijer at s.meijer@deaci.aw.
At the end of this journey, each participant will receive a certificate as proof of participation.
Minister Wever would like to thank the entire DAECI team for their continuous efforts to organize workshops and events that positively impact Aruba's business climate. A special thanks goes to Mrs. Meijer for organizing this tremendous project, and a word of success to all participants from now on.
