Series of Workshops: "Unlock Your Creative Entrepreneurial Spirit"

ORANJESTAD - The Department of Economic Affairs, Commerce, and Industry (DEACI), through its unit "Initiative for the Development of Aruban Businesses" (IDEA), has organized a series of workshops with the theme "Creative Entrepreneurship."

The workshop series "Creative Entrepreneur" began on February 21, 2024, at 'The Hub @ San Nicolas' and attracted 35 participants on the first day.

The main goal of this workshop series is to introduce 'Creative Entrepreneurship' and its essential benefits to the business community of San Nicolas. As a result, participants will learn how to plan, launch, manage, and expand their creative businesses in San Nicolas using their creativity, culture, talent, and skills.

The workshop series brought together various individuals interested in exploring the world of creative entrepreneurship. The participants shared their ideas and sustainably demonstrated their skills.

The first speaker was Mr. Dave Martinus, a coach from the certified company 'Action COACH Aruba'. Mr. Martinus presented the topics "Introduction to Creative Entrepreneurship" on February 21 and "Market Your Creative Business" on April 10. These presentations aimed to explore the role of innovation and gain more knowledge of business and how you can use creativity in today's dynamic market.

On March 6, Mr. Elthon Lampe, director of 'Activated Power', addressed the topic of "Creative Entrepreneurship with AI" and presented topics such as: What is AI and why is it important for every business?; Types of AI; ChatGPT 3.5 (free version); ChatGPT 4 (paid version) and provided some demos.

Ms. Judella Trim from IDEA presented "Business Plan" on March 20 as the topic. After her presentation, the participants sat in groups and wrote their business plans, and some of them presented their creative business plans to the entire group.

The speakers played a crucial role in making each session informative and interesting. The positive feedback from the participants highlights the importance of innovation and creating more businesses in our community. When looking at the future, we remain committed to supporting all entrepreneurs.
