Protocol ceremony Kings Day 2024

ORANJESTAD - On Saturday, April 27, 2024, Aruba celebrates the birthday of King Willem-Alexander, King’s Day. 

The National Holiday Celebration Committee, and the Youth Cup Committee Governor Felipe Tromp Aruba, put together a ceremonial program for this occasion.

Program Protocol ceremony Kings Day April 27 2024 at the Wilhelmina Park

Time: 
8:15 - 8:45 a.m.Uniformed youth groups and members of the Royal Marines meet at the Wilhelmina Park.    
8:15 - 8:30 a.m.Ministers-, Members of Parliament, Secretary Council of Ministers, and the Parliament Registrar meet at Cas Ceremonial di Gobernador. 
8:45 a.m.All invitees are present at the Wilhelmina Park.
8:55 a.m.Arrival of the Governor of Aruba, His Excellency Alfonso Boekhoudt, and his distinguished spouse at  Wilhelmina Park.
9:00 a.m.  

Start of the  Protocol Ceremony:

  • Inspection of the honor guard consisting of members of the Royal Marine Corps;  
  • Flag of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Aruba presented by the Royal Marines;
  • Anthem of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the anthem of Aruba presented by the Royal Marines.
9:10 – 9:15 a.m.Speech by the President of Parliament, Mr. Edgard Vrolijk.
9:15 - 9:20 a.m.Presentation  ‘Kids & Youth in Action’ under the direction of Instructor Deborah Boekhoudt and choreographer Raisa Montilla.

9:20 a.m.Presentation of the award ‘Copa Hubenil Gobernador Felipe B. Tromp’ 
9:35 a.m.Closure protocol ceremony
