Prime Minister meets with Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof.

ORANJESTAD - Prime Minister Evelyn Wever-Croes is in the Netherlands on a working trip to attend several significant meetings. 

On Thursday, February 6, the Prime Minister of Aruba met and, at the same time, got acquainted with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mr. Dick Schoof. 

They discussed different points of interest during the meeting, but the first point that the Dutch Prime Minister had on his agenda was the responsibility for the financial management of Aruba.

The Dutch Prime Minister received a comprehensive report from Aruba's prime minister detailing all the work that has been done and is being done for the currently financially stable Aruba. 

Apart from the financial aspect, during the meeting, they addressed the relationship in the Kingdom and issues discussed with the Secretary of State and the security of Aruba in the region. The Netherlands is organizing the NATO summit in May 2025, and on the way to that, several aspects could affect Aruba. These include the issue of Venezuela and security in our region, which are crucial points, and the decisions made in the United States and the effects they may have on Aruba.
