Police applications open

ORANJESTAD - The Aruba Police Department announces that applications to become a police officer are open. 

All preparations have been made and everything is ready to begin the first phase of recruiting young people to become police officers.

From Febuary 27, 2024 through March 14, 2024 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., you must go in person to the E.J. Watty Vos Police Academy, located at 25 Forheuvel Street in San Nicolas, to register. Please note that you can only stop by on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. It is important to note that wearing flip-flops, tank tops or inappropriate clothing is not allowed. You are applying for a job, so you must dress appropriately. 

What you need to do is simple: come in person to fill out the form and bring some required documents, such as:
•    1 passport photo;
•    copy of your diploma and transcripts;
•    copy of your ID card;
•    copy of your AZV card;
•    extract of registration of Civil Registry.

Also remember that you must meet some requirements, such as
•    Dutch nationality;
•    inscribed and living in Aruba;
•    minimum age of 17 years and maximum age of 34 years;
•    height of at least 1.60 meters, MAVO / EPI / EPB diploma or equivalent.

After you submit your application, you will have to take several tests at different stages. These tests include:
•    Intelligence test; 
•    Dutch language test; 
•    sports test, including
•    Physical fitness; 
•    50-meter sprint; 
•    Strength test: * push-ups - planks - *hanging on a bar - *back extension; obstacle course;
•    swimming test; 
•    general applicant examinations; 
•    psychological test; 
•    medical test; 
•    job interview.
