Platform 1 discusses various points of interest regarding education welfare.
ORANJESTAD - Recently, the first meeting of Platform 1 for the 2024 - 2025 school year took place, where they discussed various topics of vital importance to education.
Platform 1 consists of the Department of Education Aruba (DEA), all ten (10) school boards, and the Minister of Education and Sport, Endy Croes.
During the meeting, they urged the school boards to encourage teachers to exchange their emails with the representatives of Land Academy Aruba, Matrix, and the Center for Teaching Excellence at the University of South Carolina. It offers teachers various courses for free to professionalize themselves.
Teachers may register through these three digital platforms to further their professional development and receive a certificate. They also discussed the Studentenkamer project, planned for September 26, was discussed, targeting young people continuing their advanced studies either in the Netherlands or the United States.
The topic of the accounting protocol, recommendation 10, from the Audit (screening) Report, which will come into effect in January 2025, was also addressed.
