“Limpi Limpi” Project

ORANJESTAD—Prime Minister Mike Eman and former Minister of Nature Ursell Arends visited the “Limpi Limpi” project.

The visit took place in the context of the recent handover of the Ministry of Nature, during which Arends thoroughly explained the various programs and initiatives implemented when he was minister.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Eman expressed his appreciation for the “Limpi Limpi” program, which serves as a necessary and functional alternative for waste disposal following the closure of the Parkietenbos landfill. The Prime Minister acknowledged the crucial role of the “Limpi Limpi” program in the sustainable management of residential waste and praised Ursell Arends’ efforts to implement a practical solution.

The Prime Minister had many concerns when the landfill closed, but he now recognizes that former Minister Arends took an important step in providing a positive alternative. “When something works, you have to keep it going!” said Mr. Eman.
