Governor receives the Commander of the Royal Military Police

ORANJESTAD - On March 5, 2024, an introductory meeting took place at the Governor's Office between the Governor of Aruba, His Excellency Alfonso Boekhoudt and the Commander of the Royal Military Police, Lieutenant General Annelore Roelofs. 

The commander commands the Marechaussee and is also "Governor of the Residence," making her responsible for military ceremonial in The Hague.
Discussions with the commander included the cooperative relationship with the military police in the area of border control in Aruba. During this familiarization trip, the commander will visit the three Leeward Islands of the Caribbean part of the Kingdom.
