Governor attends King's Day protocol ceremony
ORANJESTAD - The Governor of Aruba, His Excellency Alfonso Boekhoudt and his wife, Mrs. Hanneke Boekhoudt-Koetse, attended the protocol Kings’d Day ceremony on Saturday, April 26, 2025.
On this occasion, they were received at Wilhelminapark by Prime Minister Mike Eman.
After the inspection of the armed guard, the flag of the Kingdom and the Aruban flag were raised during a brief ceremony, followed by the playing of the national anthems of the Netherlands and Aruba. The President of Parliament of Aruba, Mr. Marlon Sneek gave a speech on the occasion of King's Day.
The ceremony continued with some song and dance performances, a speech by Prime Minister Eman and the presentation of the Copa B. Felipe Tromp. The various winners received their trophies and incentive awards from the hands of Governor Boekhoudt.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, a parade of various uniformed groups took place.
