GOL Airlines with direct flights from São Paulo

ORANJESTAD - Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) proudly announces that GOL Airlines, a Brazilian airline, will begin direct flights departing from the Guarulhos–Governador André Franco Montoro International Airport (GRU) in São Paulo to the Reina Beatrix International Airport.

GOL will begin flying to Aruba starting December 18, 2024. This flight is a long-distance flight of 6 and a half hours.

This new route becomes the fourth axis of Aruba's connectivity from Latin America. It includes Panama, Colombia, Peru, and now Brazil. GOL Airlines is the 28th one to join the Aruba Airport itinerary. The GRU-AUA route becomes route number 32 for Aruba.

Direct and non-stop flights Brazil-Aruba

Starting from the high season in December, GOL Airlines will have three weekly flights, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, departing at 3:30 pm from GRU and arriving at 9:00 pm at AUA. This flight takes about 6 hours and 30 minutes, operated by a B737-8 MAX model aircraft with a capacity of 176 seats. The ticket has a cost starting at $230 one way from Brazil to Aruba.

With many connection options

From the moment a passenger arrives in São Paulo from Aruba, they will have a wide variety of other destinations with GOL Airlines that can connect them domestically within Brazil. For example, GIG (Rio de Janeiro), CNF (Belo Horizonte), BSB (Brasilia), POA (Porto Alegre), and MAO (Manaus), some of the most significant municipalities in São Paulo are Campinas, Jundiaí, Sorocaba, São José dos Fields and Saints.

Latin America continues to grow.

Last year, Aruba had no less than 250,377 seats available from Latin American markets, representing a growth of 24.2% compared to 2022, when it welcomed 201,525 passengers. In total, Aruba had almost 49 thousand more seats on these routes, so growth is forecast this year, with additional flights that we are learning about, while by the end of the year, we will be opening a new route, which will undoubtedly impact the figures for the year 2025.

Central axis for Argentina

One of the markets very interested in Aruba is Argentina. There are still no direct flights, but Argentines can reach Aruba through the central connecting axis of Panama, Colombia, or Peru. Aruba Airport is happy to hear that on this flight from Brazil, the prediction is that Argentine nationals passing through São Paulo and continuing their flight to Aruba will occupy 25% of all seats.
