ATA shares results for February 2025.
ORANJESTAD— The Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA) is implementing a strategic transition to a destination management model that prioritizes sustainability and balance, valuing the visitor experience and the welfare of our locals.
ATA established eight (8) key focus points for 2025 to help mitigate over-tourism and promote regenerative tourism. These efforts will focus on stabilizing the number of visitors arriving in Aruba while implementing a replacement strategy prioritizing regenerative tourism and sustainable development. It includes transforming traditional tourism into one that adopts practices to protect the ecosystem, restore the environment, and invest in infrastructure that supports responsible tourism. Key priorities include strengthening local communication and guest interaction, actively involving the local community to encourage participation through education and promoting the development of niche tourism.
