Aruba Tourism Authority (A.T.A.) joins WOW! Dutch Caribbean Uncovered to promote Aruba's unique flora and fauna.

ORANJESTAD - Aruba Tourism Authority (A.T.A.) joined a unique project, 'Wow! The Nature Film', presented by the Kingdom of the Netherlands and directed by EMS Film/M&N Media Group of the Netherlands.

The project is a tribute to the beauty, vulnerability, and resilience of the six Caribbean islands, Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire, Saba, St. Maarten, and St.Eustatius.

The project includes a cinematographic film to be released in cinemas in the Netherlands and on the islands. The film will focus on each island's diversity and ecological value and the intimate relationship that unites our community with the environment.
Aruba is in a pivotal growth stage, and tourism is still a crucial driver of our economy. However, the realities of regions impacted by the climate crisis make it clear that we cannot sustain these advancements unless we prioritize addressing climate change and protecting the environment.

'Wow! Dutch Caribbean Uncovered' is an example of a proactive step to celebrate and share the importance of protecting our natural beauty. The project will help bring a deeper understanding and motivation to protect the environment, which is crucial to a sustainable future.

In addition to a feature film, a six-part documentary series will examine the distinct relationship between humans and nature on each island.  Dutch television and international streaming services will air the documentary series to raise awareness, inspire others, and impart knowledge about the environment and nature of the Caribbean.

In the Netherlands and on the islands, they will provide instructional and awareness activities for businesses and schools. The objective is to instill a sense of environmental responsibility at a young age and inspire businesses to help create a more sustainable Aruba. Another crucial aspect of the project is an original soundtrack for the film that will be composed and performed by local artists, elevating and introducing regional music to a global audience and thus adding another authentic aspect to the project. They will invite local writers, videographers, and photographers to contribute to the project to illustrate Aruba's cultural identity.

The project will also contain a scientific database to gather all studies and enhance the information base to guarantee that we take proper care of our ecological system, as well as a podcast that narrates the tale of our people and nature.

They will also have a marketing strategy on social media platforms, like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube. The content will be based on the continuous development of the project to attract both the Dutch market and all other people who love the islands.

The project will begin recording in the fourth quarter of 2024, whereas the podcast series will be released in the second quarter of 2025. The plan is to release the docuseries between the fourth quarter of 2025 and the first quarter of 2026. The goal is to release the film in the Netherlands and the Caribbean islands in the fourth quarter of 2026. By 2027, the film will be available on global streaming platforms.
