ORANJESTAD – Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) proudly organized its 2nd Airport Community Health and Well-being Drive-Thru Check event on June 10, 11, and 12, 2024.

In line with the company’s focus on health and well-being and the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Airport Community Health and Well-being Drive-Thru Check was a 3-day event held at the airport.AAA invited all stakeholders, third parties, and vendors to pass by the Airport’s VIP room to complete their health checks. More than 250 Airport community members participated, including AAA staff, Ground Handlers, Douane Aruba, Korps Politie Aruba, US CBP, Total Cleaning, and Concessionaires.

The drive-thru health check included a screening based on blood pressure check, blood sugar check, body mass index (BMI) calculation, and eye pressure check. Every person received their results when completing the health check. Aligned with AAA’s Health and Wellness goals, the 3-day Health and Well-being Drive-Thru Check event was to encourage the airport community to focus on their physical well-being by taking preventive measures on their lifestyle behavior choices to ensure health, avoid preventable diseases and conditions, and to live in a balanced state of body and mind.

In AAA’s upcoming Health, Safety, and Sustainability Week 2024, they will present the results of the Airport Community Health and Well-being Drive-Thru Check to the community. They will also provide an overview of the community’s combined health state and provide additional recommendations for a more balanced lifestyle.
