Support the children during the School Games 2024

ORANJESTAD – On June 1, 2024, the School Games (WE) 2024 opening was at the Nadi Croes-Crismo Angela Sports Complex.  

Weganan Escolar (School Games) (WE) 2024 began on June 1 and ends on June 15, 2024, at the Joe Laveist Sports Park in San Nicolas.

WE Aruba is a project of the Ministry of Education and Sports and IBISA aimed at promoting sports among students from preparatory, primary, and secondary schools who will participate in various disciplines' The sports are soccer, volleyball, beach tennis, badminton, "kids athletics," WE Dance, and a new sport this year   WE Brain. WE 2024 features more than 1000 students from 42 schools, 14 preparatory schools, 20 primary schools, and eight secondary schools. The School Games promote skills and opportunities for our children and young people. Sports foster unity and develop students' motor skills, teamwork abilities, and competitive spirit.

The government thanks the Ministry of Sports, IBISA, Lotto for Sports, and everyone who made this event possible. Additionally, the government invites the people of Aruba to support the children and youth during the two weeks of competition.
